Pebble Beaches of Demre: The beaches between Sülüklü and Taşdibi, Kömürlük and Demre stream provide a natural resource that is used for recreational purposes and attracts tourists and visitors to Demre. The coast lies almost several kilometers away is generally alone and very clean.

   

St.Nicholaus - Father Christmas, is protector saint of charities, children, workers and sailors was lived and buried in his church at Demre in 343 AD. Church was one of the several Byzantine architectural works and had repaired by Russians in 1850-1864.

In memory of this benevolent person, who had caught in a shady lane of Myra by a nightguard, within a strange suit, holding a huge sack, was wandering timidly in the night, We present the Lucky Pebbles of the shores of Demyra on where Father Noel was standing with his huge luck.

The excavations of St.Nicholaus church from the sand mill and mud accumulated of many years were begin in 1989 after its discovery in 1956. But archaeologists revealed that the church complex was spread across a larger area within ancient Lycian city of Myra.

You know, the old man with long white beard, red clothing, and hood sitting on a sleight pulled by reindeer who passes out presents to children at Christmas. The strange person caught by a nightguard with a suck full of  golden apples, toys and delicious snacks was transformed into Santa Claus first in Germany and later spreaded to countries where protestant churches were the majority and finally to France.
